Do you tend to like music in particular genres, or are your tastes all over the place? What are your most and least favorite musical genres?
I listen to almost all genres of music. No, really. There are very few I won't listen to. However, I can be quite particular about which musicians within those genres that I listen to. There are very few rappers I will listen to, and even fewer country. I prefer world music, like Alabina, Mercan Dede, Hossam Ramzy, Rasa,Natacha Atlas... And then I am also in love with Matthew Sweet, Queen, The Feeling, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong.

What's your favorite card game?
That would be either Spades or Pinochle. I spent years playing these until I got saddled with the worst partner in the world (she always tried to cheat, and I refused to). We ended up kicking her out of the group, and never found a replacement. It was the end of an era. *cries*

After all the recent season and series finales, what are you watching on TV these days?
Erm, can't say as I watch too much, really. Most Haunted and Dr Who, and (hopefully!) soon, Torchwood again. And the Wright Stuff. Because Matthew Wright is so adorably dorky and cute.
What are your top 10 most-played songs currently?
Well, I would check my last.fm but it seems my sister forgot to log out of her account, so it's been charting her songs on my account, which throws everything off. So much fun.

Er, I, don't really know. That Jesus movie by Mel Gibson? Oh! The Passion! Never seen that. Come to think of it, I haven't seen any of the movies nominated in any category for an Oscar thing, either. As far as I can tell.
I don't get out a lot, really. And I don't like a lot of movies they make these days. Give me Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, any day. Oh, and uh, yeah, James Spader and William Shatner *coughimageekcough*
What are your Superbowl plans? What's your prediction and why?

Not watching the Superbowl. Hate American football. Watching the Puppybowl on Animal Planet instead. I am told by my daughter there will be kittens at halftime, and that yarn may be involved.
What do you do to ensure you get a good night's sleep?

I have chronic insomnia. I have since I nearly died of cellulitis, as a baby, according to my parents. So I don't sleep a lot, and I don't sleep well. Which is all kinds of fun.
How do you pass the time during a flight? What do you bring in your carry-on?
Gah. Considering most of my flights are overseas, there are several things. My iPod, of course. Plus the battery pack/batteries. A couple of books. I read fast. And I get bored. Pen/paper. Change of clothes. Miscellany for my kids.
Most of my time is taken up keeping them in order on long flights. And in trying to keep myself calm, because I'm claustrophobic and agoraphobic. And just bloody hate flying.
One thing I cannot do on a plane is sleep.
What's the best thing since sliced bread?
Portable music, hands down. In all its forms. First Walkman's, then CD Walkman's, the mp3 players (I have the iPod but any would work), along with portable speakers.
